The Common Pheasant is originally a resident of open bushland and steppes of Asia between the black sea and the pacific coast. But
presumably the pheasant came to Europe in ancient times, also by the Romans, cause of its beauty and as delicacy.
Eigentlich ist der Fasan ein Bewohner offener Landschaften und Steppen Asiens zwischen dem schwarzen Meer und der Pazifikküste. Wegen seiner Schönheit und als Nahrungsmittel wurde er vermutlich schon in antiker Zeit in Europa eingeführt, unter anderem durch die Römer.
