Contrary to what the name of the dolphin might suggest, the white beak is not a very helpful diagnostic feature in the field, unlike the white saddle behind the fin.

 Anders als der Name des Delphins vermuten lässt, ist der weiße Schnabel kein sehr hilfreiches diagnostisches Merkmal im Feld, anders als der weiße Sattel hinter der Flosse.
