The diffference between male and female long-tailed ducks is obvious. Even when they skip moulting and the plumage is confusing, the coloration of the bill is a good sign for the sex.

Der Unterschied zwischen Männchen und Weibchen ist bei der Eisente offensichtilich. Sogar, wenn sie eine Mauser aussetzen und das Gefieder verwirrend gefärbt ist ist die Färbung des Schnabels ein guter Indikator für das Geschlecht.
